Hereford Hawks basketball club

The aim of the club is to bring sporting opportunities during the last years of school and first years of further education or employment. Reminding the youth of today that sport should not end during their school years. Basketball is great fun and can offer a good level of fitness.

The club currently has two basketball teams which are for our more active players.

Hereford Hawks

During 2004 – 2005 season the Hereford Hawks (boys) have been playing in the Gloucester basketball league. The team has enjoyed many very competitive games. Player and team development has been aggressive and much enjoyed by all concerned.

Hereford Hawks (girls) have been training during the 2004 – 2005 season and are hoping to have a full team ready to enter the league for the 2005 – 2006 season.

Hereford Hawks team members are chosen from members of The Hereford Hawks Basketball Club.

Gloucester basketball league

The league has young teams like the Hereford hawks and some more senior players who are very happy to just play ball some more seriously than others. It has been a challenging year for the boys as some of the league players are very tall and well built the game is quite a bit different from school basketball. The boys team have enjoyed the competitiveness of the game and have shown great improvement in their skill.
